Smithfield Foods was named the sponsor of An Achievable Dream’s Class of 2015 during the 22nd Annual Tennis Ball, held on November 15, 2014 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The announcement followed a rousing standing ovation as the senior class entered the ballroom dressed in graduation caps and gowns to the music of Pomp and Circumstance. Larry Pope, CEO of Smithfield Foods, spoke on behalf of the company, conveying the excitement and pride of everyone at Smithfield in supporting An Achievable Dream.

As the class sponsor, Smithfield Foods will provide annual merit scholarships for each member of the class each year that they attend college. The graduates of the Class of 2015 will be known as The Smithfield Foods Scholars.

Smithfield Foods also sponsored the Class of 2006 and is the annual Dinner Sponsor for the Tennis Ball.
