An Achievable Dream would like to congratulate our president and CEO, Dr. Lee Vreeland on being featured in the 2023 Inside Business Power List. Inside Business creates its annual Power List to recognize the leaders who have the most influence in shaping Hampton Roads, whether they are the decision-makers or those working behind the scenes. 

Dr. Vreeland has 26 years of experience overseeing An Achievable Dream’s academics and operations and has held various roles. She has been influential in the expansion of An Achievable Dream, overseeing efforts to expand the program in Virginia Beach and Henrico County. This summer, An Achievable Dream will open its innovative learning facility, An Achievable Dream Middle and High School at Lynnhaven, which will enhance the program’s social, academic and moral education framework.

Dr. Vreeland was also instrumental in establishing Achieve SAME Pro, a customizable professional learning solution and K-12 social and emotional curriculum for individual schools and districts, in the fall of 2020. Over the years, she has worked to bring together stakeholders from local government, nonprofit organizations and business and community members to address key issues facing the community, including housing, food insecurity, and gun violence.
